Begin around the Abbey Churchyard, where some of Baths best-known sights sit close together in the heart of the city.
Discover the citys ancient history with an optional visit to the Roman Baths. Explore the historic bathing complex and learn about the people who used it centuries ago. Admission is additional, and advance booking is recommended.
Admire the impressive architecture of Bath Abbey and the surrounding square. If you choose to visit inside, check admission arrangements and opening times before travelling.
Wander through the city centre and enjoy its beautiful stone buildings, inviting shopfronts and picturesque corners, with plenty of opportunities for photographs along the way.
Bath combines familiar high street shopping with independent boutiques, gift shops and smaller retailers, making it a lovely place to browse at leisure.
Explore the SouthGate shopping area and continue through the central streets for fashion, beauty, accessories and everyday favourites.
Take a stroll along one of Baths best-known shopping streets, enjoying its elegant setting as you browse the shops and surrounding lanes.
Discover gifts, books, homeware and individual finds in the citys smaller shops. Explore side streets and passageways for a different shopping experience.
Make time to relax and enjoy a bite to eat. Bath offers plenty of places to pause, whether you fancy a quick coffee, a leisurely lunch or an afternoon treat.
Find a welcoming café and take a break between shopping and sightseeing.
Choose a casual bite, a traditional pub lunch or a restaurant meal, and enjoy time to catch up with friends or family.
Look out for the citys famous local treats, including Bath buns and Sally Lunns buns, or make afternoon tea part of your day. Booking ahead is advisable if you have a particular venue in mind.
Many of Baths central sights can be explored on foot. If you enjoy a longer stroll, venture beyond the main shopping streets to discover more of the citys architecture and scenery.
Walk towards Pulteney Bridge to admire its distinctive shops and views of the River Avon and weir. It is a lovely spot to pause and capture a photograph.
Explore further uphill to see the sweeping Georgian terraces of the Circus, one of Baths most recognisable architectural sights.
